During my junior recital, one of the most touching highlights was my live performance of “Audition (The Fools Who Dream)” from La La Land. Before singing, I offered a heartfelt thank-you to the music department and to the friends who supported me throughout my journey. The moment set the tone for a performance that was raw, emotional, and deeply personal. Stripped of studio polish, the song unfolded with honest vulnerability every phrase carrying the weight of gratitude, growth, and the courage to dream. It became not just a cover, but a reflection of where I am as an artist and how far I’ve come.

This song challenged in audio repair. The live recording needed heavy RX to remove plosives and uneven mixing. It taught me how to doctor a live recording while keeping the magic and authenticity of the room
